Winner of a Gold Star at the 2020 Great Taste Awards, this JAMÓNNATURAL Paleta Serrano Gran Reserva is 100% natural and made by highly skilled traditional producers. Cured for at least 9 months, this delivers the characteristic delicate, sweet and slightly nutty flavour of a fine Serrano ham. The meat is dark pink to ruby coloured, discreetly grained and has a delicious melt-in-the-mouth quality. This is an ideal choice to experience this popular Spanish delicacy in a smaller Paleta format.

Type of ham
This shoulder of Serrano ham is the highest grade available (Gran Reserva) and is made from specially selected white pigs. To achieve Gran Reserva status, Serrano shoulders (Paleta) are cured for at least 9 months. This is less time than is required to cure a whole leg as the Paleta is smaller and has a higher proportion of fat. As a result, the shoulder has a slightly firmer texture, a more intense flavour and a darker colour of meat compared with other Serrano grades. The ham is delivered as a whole leg with bone.
